MailFrontier Business Soars in Third Quarter
Channel Strategy and Product Innovation Boosts Customer Growth and Bookings
PALO ALTO, Calif. - November 2, 2005 – MailFrontier™,
the leader in email security, today announced a record quarter including unprecedented
bookings and customer growth, and a thriving channel program. MailFrontier continues
to lead the market by offering enterprises the most choice in deployment options,
including MailFrontier Gateway™ Appliance and MailFrontier Gateway™ Server.
MailFrontier Gateway Appliance is the only email security appliance product on
the market to offer customers either Microsoft Windows or Linux operating systems
giving businesses maximum flexibility. MailFrontier customers continue to cite
manageability – less than 10 minutes a week – and
emerging threat protection as factors for choosing MailFrontier over competitors

- Increased worldwide bookings 73 percent Q3 2005 over Q3 2004
- Expanded aggressively in European markets where bookings increased 215 percent Q3 2005 over Q3 2004
- Continued aggressive channel program with channel partners accounting for more than 70 percent of new business booked
- Added more than 75 channel partners in the last year, expected to double again in the next year
- Increased channel management staff to manage expanding channel program.
- Attributed record new business growth to the introduction of MailFrontier Gateway Appliance, accounting for 65 percent of new business booked
- Exceeded 1,500 enterprise customer benchmark and continued to lead the mid-enterprise market segment adding organizations including MetroHealth System, Rock-Tenn, SDSU Research Foundation, University of New Haven, and The Villages
- Maintained customer renewal rates at greater than 98 percent
