Signs 100 Customers For Its Enterprise Gateway Software Including Luxury
Hotel Operator and Retail Chain
Eliminating Spam Saves Employees Thousands of
Hours Each Year
Palo Alto, CA, October 6, 2003 – MailFrontier, an advanced
messaging company, announced that the company has signed 100 customers
for its enterprise spam-filtering product, MailFrontier Anti-Spam Gateway.
Customers have found that installing MailFrontier's Anti-Spam Gateway
has helped to reduce the torrent of spam. Spam is costing U.S. corporations
about $15 billion in lost productivity this year, according to Ferris
Research.
“We estimate that with employees spending an average of 4.4 seconds
dealing with each spam message, our business was losing nearly 9,000
hours of productivity a year, said Mark Hedley, Senior VP and CTO, at
Wyndham International, the upscale and luxury hotel operator.
Before turning to MailFrontier’s Anti-Spam Gateway, Wyndham tried
other solutions but they were problematic and resulted in an average
of 100 emails per day from unhappy employees complaining about lost
email and missed spam.

an international contract manufacturer of printed circuit boards and
related products; and Bellingham Public Schools in Washington state
who provide and manage email accounts for 10,000 students in their district.
