Monday, February 17th, 2003 – DEMO Conference, Scottsdale, Az – At the premiere products and technology show, DEMO 2003, MailFrontier proved that its enterprise anti-spam solution, the MailFrontier Anti-Spam Gateway clearly stands above the competition, with a dramatic win in a head to head anti-spam product comparison. In the shoot out, MailFrontier Anti-Spam Gateway and CloudMark Authority were compared in a real world test of blocking unwanted email for enterprises. The results of the competition at DEMO clearly show that MailFrontier Anti-Spam Gateway is far more advanced than other solutions on the market, and is the best alternative for a corporation’s spam problem.

In the DEMO review, conducted in conjunction with Network World, MailFrontier Anti-Spam Gateway blocked 85% of all spam emails with a false positive rate of 1%. CloudMark Authority blocked 43% of all spam emails with a false positive rate of .5% - making Mailfrontier Anti-Spam Gateway four times more effective in blocking spam than the CloudMark product. The test, initially configured in mid-January, incorporated a real-world set up where the products were installed as if in a corporate environment. Each product was tested based on percent of spam filtered, number of false positives, and also evaluated on criteria such as ease of use and user interface.
