MailFrontier Introduces 'Time Zero' Virus Protection with MailFrontier Gateway 3.5
Based on Innovative Techniques to Stop Email Spam and Phishing Fraud, MailFrontier Delivers Comprehensive Email Security

MailFrontier Launches MailFrontier Time Zero Virus Technology™; Announces Availability of Avinti Isolation Server and Kaspersky Labs Anti-Virus, in addition to McAfee Anti-Virus
While most businesses and organizations have deployed anti-virus products, they remain vulnerable to virus attacks. After a virus first appears at Time Zero, anti-virus vendors often take up to 24 hours to develop and deliver a signature to identify, block and clean the virus. During this time, networks are left unprotected and exposed to devastating attacks.

MailFrontier has combined its innovative Time Zero virus technology with leading industry partners to provide comprehensive anti-virus protection. Anti-virus engines from McAfee and MailFrontier’s newest partner, Kaspersky Labs, provide multiple layers of virus signature protection and can be used in combination or individually.   • Responsive: Another layer of defense against Time Zero viruses is closing their window of opportunity. MailFrontier’s email anomaly identification responds to virus outbreaks by targeting their delivery vehicle, namely suspicious emails, to identify and block viruses.
  • Decisive: With both Kaspersky and McAfee anti-virus engines available to customers, a comprehensive set of virus signatures prevents previously identified viruses from causing any damage to corporate networks.
Continued Strength in Combating Email Phishing and Spam
In addition to the benefit of strengthened anti-virus protection, MailFrontier has enhanced its core anti-spam and anti-phishing fraud solutions. The anti-spam solution now includes Sender ID and MailFrontier Reputation, which use a combination of techniques to identify the sender, evaluate the content and determine whether a message is spam or not. This multi-layered approach ensures that MailFrontier stops spam with more than 98 percent effectiveness and with one hundredth of a percent false positive rate. The anti-phishing fraud solution identifies phishing emails through the fortified MailFrontier Bayesian Fraud Filter to ensure extremely high accuracy in stopping phishing and other suspicious emails.
